A groundbreaking video to DVD or CD transfer service called YesVideo is now available nationwide for professional and trade users. Just launched in the UK, this fully automated conversion takes about half the time and is approximately half the cost of typical high street offerings. In addition, YesVideo is the only service to divide recorded material into 54 chapters for quick and easy reference.
Tape can begin to degrade in as little as 5 years, even if unplayed. Digital capture is the only means of ensuring it will last a lifetime. YesVideo provides the UK’s first ever volume, automated, mail order conversion service, and accepts a wide range of media including VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Mini-DV, Digital8 (D8), Hi-8, 8mm and DVCAM, with further formats to be added shortly. YesVideo outputs to one or all of three fully digitised and authored formats – YesDVD, YesCD and YesPIX, all playable universally on PCs, Macs and Home Players. Orders are fulfilled within five working days and prices start at £20 plus VAT and delivery. Holders of videotape archives are advised to begin converting as soon as possible in order to halt irrevocable degradation of material.
YesVideo’s unique quick referencing system is arguably the most impressive of its innovative added features. DVDs are automatically divided into 54 numbered chapters with a visual reference guide printed on the case inlay. Intuitive navigation is provided as standard and customers can even opt for a range of musical highlights to be added. Video CDs include all the same features, as well as software for easy editing, exporting and printing. Finally, YesPIX picture CDs contain a selection of the sharpest 200 frames from a DVD, saved as JPEGs. SlidePlayer software is included for playing slideshows on your TV screen or monitor and this software also allows for fast re-sequencing of images.
