According to a recent study conducted by IBM over 50 percent of consumers would substitute their Internet usage on a PC for a mobile device. Hoover's, Inc. and D&B, its parent company, already took action: they introduced a new product line and already released the first two products.

Hoover's Mobile is a browser-based application and Hoover's MobileSP is a device-enabled application. Still in beta, both products are available for subscribers to Hoover's. Supported devices so far are iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile Smartphones. It is expected that both products leave beta status by Q1 2009 and are generally available then in North America and the United Kingdom.

The beta phase is used to collect user feedback and add further content and features to the two products. Currently, customers of the Hoover's service can access, sort and synchronize company records directly with their mobile devices and benefit of further functions such as GPS custom location, radius search, and custom call queue abilities.
